VISIT WITH NANA!!

On a beautiful Sunday, we drove down to see Nana. We ask that everyone please pray for our Nana, who is battling lymphatic cancer. She has been through two surgeries, and now going through chemotherapy. We just pray for her to stay strong so she can beat it. We want her to be with us for a long time!! We love you Nana!!
We enjoyed playing outside, and I got some great pictures!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAILLE!!!

My baby girl turned 9 years old!! Gosh, where does the time go?? She got to pick what we did to celebrate her birthday, and instead of a party at home, she chose to go to Incredible Pizza Company, which was a great decision!! That place is awesome!! They have a delicious buffet, and a HUGE arcade. There was tons of stuff to do, but I think the go-carts were the best part. We ALL had a blast!!

Grandma made her cake, and it was delicious, as usual!! Pictures do no justice to how great these cakes are. She does an amazing job!!
They sang happy birthday to the birthday girl!! Then she got to spin the prize wheel, and won a $5.00 Play Card!!
After food, cake & opening presents, it was time to play!!

TOOTH FAIRY IS ON VACATION!!!

Poor Trentin!! The tooth fairy keeps forgetting to come pick up his tooth. He lost a tooth a full 7 days ago, and the ding-bat tooth fairy keeps forgetting to come visit him. I told him that maybe she was visiting kids in a different country, or maybe she was taking a vacation. He really broke my heart when he came to me with big tears in his eyes & said "I think the tooth fairy hates me." I told him to wait just ONE MORE NIGHT, I bet she won't forget again. And you know what?? She didn't!! I've never seen a kid so happy to get $1!!! He came running in our bedroom waving his dollar, and Jason said "It's about time!!!". Hmmmmm...... I'm sure the tooth fairy will glady relinquish "visit" rights to the tooth wizard from now on!!!
Yes, I know what "NO" means, I just don't like to hear it!!!

OUR FAVORITE SEASON!!

Our favorite time of year is here - COLTS SEASON!! We love tailgaiting and then going to watch our beloved Blue!!

2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR HAS BEGUN!

This year, the township decided the elementary kids should wear uniforms to school. It consists of khaki or navy blue pants/shorts/skirts and solid color polos, any color. I kind of like the idea, because it means there is no arguing about what to wear to school!! Getting ready in the morning is much easier!!

Haille is in 3rd grade, and she has Mr. Madginski this year.

And here is my 2nd grader. Trentin is in Mrs. Williams class.

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY TRENTIN!!

Trentin is now 8 years old!!

DADDY'S CARSHOW

Jason sponsored a car show earlier this summer. So we made a trip to Plainfield to support Uncle Trev, since he brought his car out, and to see some other neat cars.

We thought Uncle Trev's car was by far the best!!

Haille got to pick & announce the raffle ticket winners!!

NEW HAIRCUT!!

For quite a while, Haille has begged to have her long hair cut up to her chin. Her hair was almost down to her butt, and she wanted it off!! She has only had little "trims" since she was born & we loved it long. I reminded her that if she got it cut, we could no longer put it in curlers, or ponytails, and we wouldn't be able to braid it. I could not persuade her, she wanted it cut, and we were not going to change her mind. The more I thought about it, I decided that she IS the one that takes care of her hair, after all. Some time later, I was making strawberry shortcake & I wanted her to take a bite (for all that know her, she's a VERY picky eater - it's a fight to get her to try new things). I bribed, "try a bite & I'll take you to cut your hair tomorrow." As quickly as I said that, she grabbed the spoon out of my hand and took a bite!! That's how bad she wanted her hair cut. So, true to my word, I took her the next day to get her haircut. One of the saddest days of my life. She still looks beautiful, but now she looks so grown up. She's not my little girl anymore, she's my little lady.

Guess who got a new camera?!??? I DID I DID!!!!! Whoo-hoo!!! New pictures will be updated soon!!!

TIME TO CATCH UP!!!

Wow, I haven't touched the blog in months!! My stupid camera is broken. I can only get it to take pictures occasionally, then it freezes up. Won't even turn off; I have to take the batteries out, wait a minute, put the batteries back, and try to turn it on again. Sometimes it cooperates, most times it doesn't. Extremely frusterating as there have been so many moments I've wanted to capture!!! I have felt like I'm missing my right arm without my camera. I usually have it on me at all times. But in an effort to keep everyone updated as to what we've been up to, here are the few pictures I've manage to get:

The last week of school, Haille's Girl Scout Troop had a ceremony to receive the badges they earned. Haille's bestfriend's mom was the troop leader, and she did some great things with the girls.

This is Molly, Haille's best friend. They do everything together!!

Softball and baseball continued on through June.
Haille took a hit to her chin!!

I was getting really worn out trying to have Haille and Trentin in two different places at the same time, with a baby in tow. Every night after work I was running here to drop one kid off, rushing there to get the other one where they needed to be, and then hurrying to pick them both up. It was exhausting!! Thank goodness Axten is such a good boy, he made it very easy on me. He hardly had any meltdowns!!

I was looking forward to their seasons' ending, and getting to come straight home afterwork!! So on Haille's last game, I was feeling some relief, until her coach informed me that she made the All-Star team!! I am so proud of her because that's quite an accomplishment. Of all the girls on the 8U league (probably around 110-120 girls) Haille was nominated in the top 30 players. Of those players only 24 girls were picked for two All-Star Teams, and Haille made the Red Team!!!

So we have 3 tournaments through the end of July. It is so much easier having to take only one kid to practice/games!!!

IT'S CONCERT SEASON!!!!!!

Our first concert of the summer was Rascal Flatts. LOVE THEM!!!! Jason, however, is not a big fan. He took one for the team though!!

I swear, I hate my camera. This is the only picture I could get from the Toby Keith/Trace Adkins concert. They put on a GOOD show!!

AND THE BEST CONCERT YET.........

That's right NKOTB!!!! My mom, sister, aunt, cousin, other cousin's wife, their daughers, and a few friends all went together!!
I told Haille she should be proud. She can tell all her friends that her first concert was New Kids, and that her Mom took her!!! I have to tell a funny story here. I kept it a surprise, and she begged for me to tell her what our "special" thing was all weekend.

On the way to the concert.....

HAILLE: Where are we going??
ME: Do you know how much you like the Jonas Brothers?
HAILLE: Yeah, I love them.

ME: Well, these guys we're going to see....

HAILLE: (Interrupting & shrieking & talking a mile a minute) OMG!!! WE'RE GOING TO SEE THE JONAS BROTHERS??!?!? OMG...OMG....OMG!!! I'VE GOT TO CALL MOLLY!!!!!

ME: No, no, no. We're going to see the guys I loved when I was your age.

HAILLE: Huh? So we're not going to see the Jonas Brothers?

ME: No, sorry, I shouldn't have used them as an example.

HAILLE: But I want to see the Jonas Brothers!!!!!

ME: You'll still have fun!!! We're going to see New Kids on the Block!!!

HAILLE: WHO'S THAT?!?!?!?

I felt horrible because I got her hopes up to see the Jonas Brothers, and she had to see some 40 year old guys still performing the same songs & dance moves from back in the day!! SHE LOVED IT!!!! As did I, even though I felt like crap that evening.
The 4th of July was a complete wash-out. It rained ALL FREAKING DAY!!! Such a drag!! We still had our "Court Party". We were all stuck in the garage and in the house all day. All the kids had a blast playing in the rain, and I had a huge pile of soaking wet clothes to wash!! We're totally going to do this again, when it's nice outside. Our neighbor, Jim, already has Labor Day planned out.
Well, that's pretty much it!! We absolutely LOVE the summertime!! Nearly every weekend, you can find us outside playing cornhole, hanging out with friends, and enjoying the warm weather!!! I'll be keeping my eye out for a great sale on digital cameras!! Til then......
