FOOTBALL JAMBOREE

Bright and early, Saturday morning, the Greenwood Bantum Football League had their opening day Jamboree. They really go all out for this event. I was impressed!!!

Trentin is #34, and he plays on the defense. He is one of the younger, smaller kids on the team, therefore, he doesn't get as much playing time as the other bigger kids that have played before. But this is a good way for him to learn the basics of football!! His day is coming!!!

They get to enjoy a few snacks after winning their first game!!

STATE FAIR

It was such a beautiful evening to go to the State Fair. We had a blast!! Thank you Papaw and Grandma for the ride bracelets!!!

HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY TRENTIN!!

The first day of school was also Trentin's birthday!! Poor kid had to start school on his birthday. He wanted "chocolate cake with chocolate icing" so that's exactly what he got. We let him open his presents, but the party was yet to come!!!

Trentin is into Star Wars right now, so he got all the action figures and a star ship.

1st DAY OF SCHOOL

Yes, school has started already!! Hard to believe the summer is over!!

Here's my 2nd grader!! Haille has Mrs. Davis-Huff this year!!!

And here's my 1st grader!! Trentin is in Mrs. Beck's class.

A DAY IN BLOOMFIELD!!

Grandma took Haille and Trentin down to Bloomfield to hang out with my Uncle Ronnie. He took them "jeepin" around town!! They loved riding in the jeep!! I remember going down there when I was a kid, and I absolutely loved it!! Bloomfield is a simple, small town, but it's so peaceful!! The nearest McDonalds is like 10 miles away, which is a shock to Trentin's system!! They had such a good time. I'm glad they'll have this memory, just as I do from when I was a kid.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

Today (8/18/2008) is my and Jason's anniversary!!! We have been married for 8 years and here are just a few reasons why I love my husband so much:

he puts me on a pedestal and makes me feel like the most important person in the world
he calls me "baby" and I'm so used to it that when he actually calls me by my name, it doesn't sound right!!!
he always tells me how beautiful I am, even when I'm sitting there in my sweatpants & t-shirt, with my hair up in a ponytail with no make-up
he knows I'm a "mean sleeper" but will still give me a hug & kiss in the morning
he will come home from work and say "I heard this song today and it reminded me of you"
he's so loving, gentle and affectionate, but will be macho and tough when he needs to be
he knows my unusual quirks (like I pick the broccoli out of my favorite mac & cheese or I will not eat a steak without ranch dressing) and he doesn't think I'm weird
he can always make me laugh hysterically
he tolerates my PMS mood swings and doesn't get mad at me when I clearly over-react to petty things
he always tells me I'm a good mommy and he doesn't know how I do it all
when he gets home before I do, he will have dinner started for me
he will never end our phone conversations without saying "I love you"
we kick ass at cornhole!!!
just watching how he interacts with our kids and seeing how much he loves them just melts my heart
when he has the day off, I will come home to a clean house and he will tell me to "sit down and rest"
he is such a hard worker, and he will do whatever he can to make sure me or the kids have everything we ever want or need
I can go to him about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING and know that he will understand and give me his honest opinion
he is a genuine, good person and he will bend over backwards to make me happy
we are a team!! I know that he will always back me up no matter what it is

I could go on and on about how wonderful he is!!! I just hope he knows how much I love him, and how my world would fall apart if anything ever happened to us. I'm so lucky to have such an amazing husband, and I can't wait to see what the next 8 years will bring!!

We have been to a lot of concerts this summer - Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn and Toby Keith!!! And the summer is not even over yet!!! They were so much fun, minus the hangover the next morning - THANK YOU SO MUCH TIFF & STEVE!!!

Trentin's football team is the Hoosiers. They have practice EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. For over two hours each night. The coaches take this football team pretty seriously for 6, 7 & 8 year olds!! Axten has been a trooper though. I just lay a blanket out for him and he rolls around and plays with his toys. Haille has found a couple friends and they play at the nearby park, or sit & color. In the meantime, I have completely lost my evenings to get anything done, because we don't get home until after 8:00. By the time we get home, cook and eat dinner & clean up, I am wiped out!! Forget about laundry getting done, and clean my house??? HA!!!
