Trentin's Air Guitar
We were playing Haille's High School Musical board game, and Trentin had to do an "air guitar". He cracks me up!!

Haille's 1st Grade Program
Haille's school had a 1st grade program. It was a "jungle" theme, so all the kids painted lions on their t-shirts, and wore straw hats. It was so cute!! Then, after the program, we got to see her classroom, her desk, and projects she has completed. She also couldn't wait to show off her little brother to her friends!!

Haille wanted her hair curly for the program, so the night before, we put curlers in her hair!!

You can't tell what the kids are saying, but Haille is in the front row, 2nd from the right.

One Month Old!!
In the quick blink of an eye, one month has already flown by!!! At his one month old check-up with the doctor, Axten is now a whopping 11 lbs 10 oz and 23 inches long!! He has quite the appetite!! He is still sleeping through the night, too!! He is such a joy, and I am truly enjoying every second I have with him. His brother and sister love him to pieces, he is Momma's "Cuddle Bear" and Daddy's "Haus".
Daddy's 1st Bath
This was Jason's first time giving Axten a bath!! Haille was also a big help, of course. Although nowadays, she's reluctant to help because she seems to be Axten's "target". He's peed on her twice now!!
One Week Old!!
Our Stay at the Hospital
He's here!!!!
Axten Brett Cutter was born Saturday, January 5, at 12:11 am weighing in at 9 lbs 4 oz, and 22 1/4 inches long. He's a big boy!! I went to the doctor on friday, and she gave me a non-stress test. His heart rate dropped 3 times, and I was not contracting at all, so she sent me straight to the hospital to be induced. She instructed us not to worry (yeah, right) just that since he's overdue, let's give him a jump start into the real world. That's exactly what I was hoping for anyway, but hearing that his heart rate decelerated had us scared. At the hospital, they monitored him very carefully, and his heart rate was just fine the entire time. Must have been a fluke on the non-stress test!!! He's perfectly healthy!!
Me, I'm very sore and swollen. Mostly due to my tubal ligation. My tummy is tender to the touch, and it seemed like every time I saw a nurse, she had to push on my tummy, which I began to dread. They gave me some great pain meds so that helps quite a bit. It will get better each day though.
We're home now and getting settled in. Here's just one of several pictures I have of him. I will definitely post more as I have more time.
Still Pregnant......
Yes, I am officially past due!!! Christmas came & went and I truly did not want to have him over the holidays. I was scared I would because I had a Dr. appointment the friday before, and the doctor stripped my membranes without even asking me if I wanted that done!!! All I could remember was they stripped my membranes when I was pregnant with Haille, and I ended up in labor that night. I REALLY did not want to be in the hospital over the holidays, and I took it easy all weekend long trying not to throw myself into labor. Which, of course, is the weekend that I had a list of things to do, and had to keep off my feet..... I must be the only 9-month pregnant woman who DOESN'T want to deliver as soon as I can. So, whew, we made it past Christmas, and I was thrilled to go back to work. I KNOW!!!! I WANTED TO GO BACK TO WORK!!! What is wrong with me?? But now I could relax and baby boy can make his debut whenever he wants. Turns out, he must be really comfortable!!! At first, I didn't want to have him, and now that I'm ready, he's not coming!!! I was hoping it would be sometime in 2007, but that's out of my control. No tax deduction, and no New Year's baby for us!! I went back to the doctor last friday, and she stripped my membranes AGAIN, unsure why nothing happened the first time she did that. I'm dialated to a 3 and almost fully effaced, so I was sure this was going to start labor soon. Fast forward to today, and here I sit, still pregnant, and to say I'm "uncomfortable" is putting it lightly. I've got another doctor appointment tomorrow, and this time they are going to give me a non-stress test and an ultrasound to make sure baby boy is OK, and decide what to do from there. A part of me wants to let nature take it's course, and bypass an induction, but a BIGGER part of me is like Let's get this show on the road!!! I'm ready!!!
