OUR VISIT WITH SANTA!!

We went to see Santa Claus!! As predicted, Axten had a normal 2 year old meltdown. Am I mean to think it was kinda funny? While in line, Axten stood & watched all the kids get on Santa's lap & tell him what they wanted. We even waved & said "Hi Santa!!" He was doing great right up until it was his turn to sit on Santa's lap!! Then the crying/screaming proceeded!! As soon as I snapped a picture, I took him off Santa's lap, and he was perfectly happy. Poor Santa!!

MATH WHIZ!!

Trentin is a Math Whiz!!! He knows all his addition & subtraction. Good job, buddy!!! I knew you could do it!! Now onto multiplication & division....

MATH MASTER!!!

Haille has mastered all her multiplication & division facts (100 problems in under 5 minutes), so she is now a MATH MASTER!!! Good job, baby!! I'm so proud of you!!!
Axten just hanging with his girlfriend, Ruthie!!

TEACHER'S CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEA!!

I wanted to come up with an unusual Christmas gift for Haille and Trentin's teachers this year. They get so many coffee mugs, or Starbucks gift certificates, or even cookies/candy, so I wanted to be a little different. My mom has a printing business, and prints well, EVERYTHING!! So I thought about doing a mousepad of a class picture, with the teacher's name and 2009-2010.
So if you still need a present for a teacher, the kids told me their teachers really loved it!!
Thanks for your help, Momma!! I don't know what I'd do without you!!! Love you!!!

BASKETBALL SEASON!!

Haille's basketball season has begun!!! They lost their first game though. Bummer.

DISNEY ON ICE!!

Grandma and Papaw took everyone to Disney on Ice! It was so much fun!! I have never been to an ice show before, and I have to say I was definitely impressed with all the detail that went into the production.

This was my favorite part of the show!!

Of course, seeing Micky and Minnie was pretty cool, too!!
Thanks Grandma & Papaw!! We had such a good time. We love you!!

OH NO!!!

So, Haille wanting a puppy for Christmas must have really gotten to me. Last night, I had a dream that we got a yellow-lab puppy, and named him Oscar. He was so cute!!! And it felt very real!! So real that when I first woke up, I thought I needed to take the puppy outside to potty. And when I realized that it was just a dream, I was kinda sad!!!

CHRISTMAS LIST

Haille brings me her Christmas list. Among all the toys she listed, here are a few items that she also included:

a big screen TV
her own computer (with a desk)
a blueberry phone
a puppy (real dog! a small one)

Can you imagine Santa's face when he finds out what she wants?? She stood next to me as I read her list outloud. Not really knowing what to say (other than laugh) was ...

ME: You know, Santa talks to me and Daddy before he brings you any presents, and I can tell you right now that some of these things won't be under the Christmas tree.

HAILLE: HUH?!? Which ones? (her voice getting her usual high, defensive tone)

ME: Well, I can tell you you're not getting a big screen tv, we already have a computer, and it's BLACKberry by the way. And we already talked about the puppy situation.

HAILLE: WHY NOT?!?!? It can stay in my room & I'll put newspapers down..... (voice even higher, and louder.)

ME: Because having a dog while we're gone at work & school isn't fair to a puppy. How would you feel being stuck in a cage all day?? And I already told you, you're too young for a phone.

HAILLE: WHY NOT?!?!?!? Dad said when I act like an adult I can have one!!!! (somewhere I'm sure there is a glass breaking)

ME: Are you acting like an adult now??

HAILLE: Well, if Santa wants me to have one, he'll bring one.

ME: Maybe I'll just tell him to keep all your presents if you have this attitude.

HAILLE: **stomps off**

Is it crazy that I think this is hilarious??? And she's not even a TEENAGER yet!!!
How do you get your kids to behave when you go to the mall? Let them jump on the trampoline if they're good!! It worked for me!! Although I got tired of hearing "how many more stores, Mom?" and "how much longer?" They were very patient, and very well-behaved. They earned it!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

For Halloween, we had a monkey, Snake Eyes (a GI Joe guy) and a Witch.
Haille couldn't wait to put Axten in his monkey suit. She's always such a great help to me!!

Haille said she isn't just a witch, she's a "PRINCESS" Witch!!

Kaydance was the most beautiful Cinderella!!

I was so excited for Axten! It took him about 5 houses until he understood the whole "Trick or Treat" thing. He wouldn't say it, but he would hold out his pumpkin for candy. I did get him to say Thank You a couple times, but for the most part, he was pretty shy about talking!!

Before we headed out the door, we warned the kids that there was a bag lady walking around the neighborhood, trying to steal the kids' candy. So we have to watch out for her. Here she is.......

MY MOM!!!!! I swear, if I didn't know, I wouldn't have recognized her!!! She gave us a head start before she came out, and she finally made her appearance.

Kaydance didn't know she was being followed!!! When she saw the bag lady, she FREAKED OUT and ran!!
My mom couldn't talk, or the kids would know who she was. So she handed them notes that said "I want candy".

Both Haille and Trentin didn't know what to do, they just gave her candy!!! So she kept following them around, and grabbing the candy out of their pumpkins. She handed Haille a note that said "Brush my hair" and Haille said "uh, ok." and did it!! She pulled it off for quite awhile!!

It was HILARIOUS!!! When she finally told them who she was, they were relieved! Poor Kaydance cried. Trentin asked "Grandma, can I have my candy back now??" Good job, Momma!! You really got them!! This one will be hard to top!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!

Although it wasn't too happy for him. Poor Jason, on his birthday, he was extremely sick. For the second time in his life, he actually called in sick to work. That's when I knew it was bad. He headed to the Immediate Care, and tested positive for H1N1, so he was confined to our bedroom for 3 solid days. He didn't get to celebrate his birthday at all. The next day, we had to cancel our tailgating party, and gave away our Colts tickets, so it just sucked all around for him. He said he didn't care, but who wants to spend their birthday stuck in bed??

Just because I love his laugh!!

DATE NIGHT!!!

I have the sweetest husband ever!! He called me at work one day and said "why don't you see if we can get a babysitter. We need to have a date night." Usually when we go out, we play the "I-don't-care-what-do-you-want-to-do?" game, which Jason knows irritates me. So this time, he planned the whole thing!! Our friends Frank and Chelsy came along, too.

So we went to my favorite restaurant, the Olive Garden, and we actually waited 45 minutes!! Usually we don't want to wait that long, so it's rare that we eat there.

Then we went to Dave & Busters!! Jason and I have been to the one in Cincinnati, and had a blast. So we tried out the one in Castleton. Playing some skee-ball while, umm..... intoxicated, is so much fun!!
Sill girl!! We couldn't stop laughing!!
Thank you for a great time Baby!! I know, I know..... it's my turn now.
