It's very hard to believe that Axten will be one year old in just one short month!!! (well, actually less than a month, since I'm updating the blog so late!!)
This time last year I was VERY pregnant, and VERY ready for Axten to get here. And now, just like that, he's going to be one year old. WOW!! That's the only word I can find to describe it. Axten is doing great - he's got such a sweet personality, and he really makes us laugh with his funny faces he makes.
Our favorite "face" is his eye skwint. I finally caught a picture of it!!
Another one of my favorite things is when he's sitting on our lap, he'll lay down and give hugs.
Axten definitely lets you know when he's upset, though!!
He's happiest being down on the ground exploring the house (aka - getting into stuff!!) He's starting to hear the word "NO" quite often, but doesn't really understand what that means yet.
Axten can now balance without holding onto anything, and we're trying to coax him into taking a couple steps. But when he wants to go somewhere, he'll automatically drop to the floor and cr
awl there.
We're still trying sippy cups - I've tried just about every different kind!! Axten just doesn't want anything to do with them yet. His pacifier went "bye-bye" a few months back, so I think he uses his bottle as his soothing reflex. That is going to be a hard habit to break!!
